Dangers of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning:

Carbon monoxide poisoning from internal combustion engines operating in living space is a very serious threat to health. Contrary to this article, CO does not choke its victims; it usually has little if any effect on the pulmonary system, although other gases in the exhaust (eg. NO2) could have that effect.
