CO Dangers, Dr. D. Penney
Furnace Dangers:
Factors that tend to Increase CO in the Breathing Space:
- Small breathing volume
- High CO input rate
- "Tightness" of boundary walls (low air changes per hour value)
- Increased CO concentration in outside air
- Increased human exhalation of CO generated by metabolism
of heme compounds, halogenated methanes, etc.
- Increased altitude, decreased atmospheric pressure
