Carbon Monoxide Headquarters

Carbon Monoxide Poisoning:

Mechanisms of CO-induced Brain Damage:

Body temperature, heart rate (H.R.), mean arterial blood pressure (B.P.) and carotid stump pressure in rats exposed to 2700 ppm carbon monoxide for 90 min.; recovery thereafter in air. Values are means +/- S.E.; 9-13 animals at each point. Symbols: open circle = CO-exposed; closed circle = controls. From: Penney, D.G., et al. (1989) Cardiovascular, metabolic and neurologic effects of acute carbon monoxide poisoning in the rat. Toxicol. Letts., 45, 207-213.
