To survey in overview fashion, the major functional components in both the systemic and pulmonary circulations, their similarities and their differences. To examine the symmetry of component arrangement in terms of number, dimension, surface area, etc. from aorta to vena cavae, in order to point out the necessary differences in blood flow velocity and blood volume, and the special adaptations for blood delivery, for control, for exchange, and for blood storage.
