Think in terms of Total Fluid Energy!
Transmural pressure decreases in the small tube, so fluid flows to larger tube at a higher pressure! Thus, take home lesson - fluid can flow from area of lower pressure to one of higher pressure. Recall LV ejection after the pressure "crossover".
Clearly, kinetic energy must not be ignored in measuring the pressure of blood flowing through a vessel, particularly when the kinetic energy component is a large part of the fluid energy.
