To know the factors which determine fluidflow as embodied in the Poiseuille equation, and its limitations in being applied to the cardiovascular system. To understand the concept of vascular resistance as it is derived from the Poiseuille equation, how total resistance is obtained from several resistances in series or parallel, and the sites of major and minor resistance in the circulatory system.
