Needed to Calculate Cardiac Output:

  • Measurement of whole body oxygen consumption, e.g. 250 ml O2/min.

  • Measurement of arterial blood oxygen content (same everywhere), e.g. 0.19 ml O2/ml blood

  • Mixed venous blood oxygen content (e.g. pulmonary artery, e.g. 0.14 ml O2/ml blood
