Frank, Starling and Landis:

Ernest Starling's name is well known in many areas of physiology. He, along with Otto Frank, made fundamental discoveries about muscle, which led to the Frank-Starling law of the heart.

Starling's work, along with that of Eugene Landis, resulted in the Starling-Landis equation for capillary filtration or exchange, leading to the concept of the Starling equilibrium.
