Uses, Cautions, Symptoms, Exposure Limits:
Uses - manufacture of nitric acid, bleaching of rayon
Symptoms - Irritation of the eyes, nose, throat; drowsiness, unconsciousness. Inhalation may result in delayed pulmonary edema
Conversion - In air becomes highly poisonous
Nitrogen Dioxide
. Respiratory protection and adequate ventilation must be used.
Exposure Limits - ACGIH TLV: TWA = 25 ppm. OSHA PEL: TWA = 25 ppm
