Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

Prenatal Effects of CO in Mouse Study:

The effects of prenatal CO exposure from gestation day 8 - day 18 on fetal mortality (A), number of dead or resorbed fetuses per litter (B), and fetal body weight (C) in the mouse. A clear gradient of effects is seen with increasing CO concentration. Fetal birth weight was the most sensitive, as seen human studies. Seventeen pregnant female mice were exposed to CO at each CO concentration. The vertical bars represent the standard error of the mean (S.E.M.)
